2 auto parts plant workers hospitalized by explosion in Northwood
By MIKE SIGOV BLADE STAFF WRITER Two workers at a Northwood automotive supply plant remained hospitalized Tuesday evening after an explosion on a pre-assembly line, officials said. The blast occurred about 7:15 a.m. when a hydraulic line malfunctioned at Faurecia Interior Systems Inc., 6307 Fairfield Drive, a company spokesman said. Chinese Automaker Lays Plans To Retire Geely Name
Geely Automobile Holdings said Tuesday that the Geely brand would be gone by 2012. However, the Chinese auto company will soldier on with its Gleagle, Emgrand and Shanghai Englon brands. In other words, Geely will no longer market a car that bears the parent company’s name.
