NEWTOWN Counterfeit $100 Bill A counterfeit $100 bill was used to make an $18 purchase, Jan. 24, at Rite Aid, Newtown Square Shopping Center. The cashier indicated that although she used a counterfeit pen to test the bill, “it had passed the test,” according to the report.

NEWTOWN Drug Paraphernalia A 24-year-old Marple man driving a 1999 Dodge was arrested in the parking lot of Carriage House Apartments on Bishop Hollow Road, 11:15 p.m., Jan. 16, and charged with simple possession, drug paraphernalia and traffic control signals, after the car made a left turn against a red light, said police.

Reward offered on Supervisor John McKay's torched truck
Several local business leaders will anonymously offer a $2,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction of the person who stole Jackson County Supervisor John McKay's truck and set it on fire last week.
